Royal Charlie

about

A surfy, swingin' Potbelly style rendition of Charles Cameron's (Charlie Organaire) harmonica-lead Ska tune for Randy's, "Royal Charlie."

The chromatic harmonica pictured in the album art is the one played in the tune, once belonged Potbelly's grandfather, & is pictured to honor legendary Jamaican mouth organ artist who first recorded this tune, Charlie Organaire. If you hear harmonica on any old 60s Ska tune playing riddim or taking a lead or solo, it's most likely Charles Cameron. I am no harmonica player, to be certain, but I was able to do enough to get by for this tune. Charlie is the real master of the harmonica.
